Seymour puts himself on the board first with a reversal in the second period. Poulin escapes, but Seymour leads 2-1. Poulin picks up another escape. Second session matches to watch

Six matches in the second session will feature an All-American vs. an All-American. Let's break them down:

125 pounds: No. 5 Troy Spratley (Oklahoma State) vs. No. 12 Vincent Robinson (NC State)

Vince Robinson vs. Troy Spratley: 2025 NCAA wrestling championship (125 pounds)

In a rematch of last year's national finals, No. 5 Troy Spratley and No. 12 Vincent Robinson will battle for a spot in the quarterfinals tomorrow. Robinson is 3-0 against Spratley, beating him in last year's national championship 2-1 in tie-breakers and topping him earlier this year 7-3.

125 pounds: No. 13 Stevo Poulin (Iowa State) vs. No. 4 Sheldon Seymour (Lehigh)

No. 13 Stevo Poulin and No. 4 Sheldon Seymour, both one-time All-Americans, have split matches in their career, with Seymour earning the more recent win 9-6. The winner of this bout will face the winner of No. 5 Troy Spratley and No. 12 Vincent Robinson, while the loser will drop down and take on the winner of No. 19 Kysen Terukina (North Carolina) and the victor of the pigtail match between No. 33 Jace Schafer (Bloomsburg) and No. 30 Sulayman Bah (Columbia).

133 pounds: No. 3 Brock Hardy (Nebraska) vs. No. 14 Braeden Davis (Penn State)

Brock Hardy and Braeden Davis have met one time in their careers in a dramatic match that ended with Hardy getting the pin. The senior Husker will be heavily favored, and for Davis to have a chance, he'll need to come out strong hold on to his offense, even as the match progresses. The winner of this match could potentially see another All-American too, if Penn's No. 11 CJ Composto upsets No. 6 Vince Cornella of Cornell.

149 pounds: No. 1 Shayne Van Ness (Penn State) vs. No. 16 Jacob Frost (Iowa State)

This is a fun one. Penn State's Shayne Van Ness won his first bout by tech over No. 33 Austin McBurney of Brown while Iowa State's Jacob Frost pinned his first round foe, No. 17 Lucas Kapusta of Lock Haven. Van Ness and Frost have not wrestled yet in their career, but Van Ness has been known to have some funky matches. Frost could keep himself in this match, but Van Ness has shown this season that even when he's tested, he's a winner.

157 CONSOLATIONS: No. 12 Vinny Zerban (Iowa State) vs. No. 28 Gavin Drexler (North Dakota State)

Gavin Drexler and Vinny Zerban both earned All-American honors for the first time in their careers last year. Drexler finished eighth, while Zerban took sixth. Now they'll battle it out to stay alive in the consolation bracket on the first day. In the lone meeting of their careers, Zerban took the win 12-5. Winner advances to take on the loser of No. 6 Jude Swisher of Penn and and No. 11 Ty Watters of West Virginia.

174 pounds: No. 2 Simon Ruiz (Cornell) vs. No. 15 Danny Wask
